These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StatBlock platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by StatBlock, Inc. ("StatBlock," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
StatBlock is a platform designed to connect tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) players, Game Masters (GMs), and venues. The Service provides tools for character management, session scheduling, campaign tracking, venue discovery, and community engagement within the tabletop gaming hobby.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
You may not create accounts for others without their permission, impersonate any person or entity, or use a username that is offensive or that infringes any third-party rights.
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method on a recurring basis. All fees are stated in US dollars unless otherwise indicated.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. StatBlock does not store your credit card number or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers. By providing payment information, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until that date. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused time within a billing period except where required by applicable law.
We may change subscription prices at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase, and the new price will take effect at your next renewal date.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards and to suspend or terminate accounts of users who breach this section.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service ("User Content"), including character sheets, campaign notes, and profile information. By posting User Content, you grant StatBlock a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely as necessary to provide the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant us the license above and that your User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
The StatBlock platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and original content, is owned by StatBlock, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform without our prior written consent.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STATBLOCK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6 through 12 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
